Importance of Social Media Usage in Schools

 

The topic of the usage of social media applications in educational environments is very important for so many reasons regarding academic honesty. 

It's great to use them in order to stay in touch with peers to remind each other of what assignments are due and ask simple questions or help about some assignments. However, it is never acceptable or ethical to use these platforms outside of school to cheat together during a take-home exam or quiz. It is very much an unethical thing to do, as well as violates several school policies regarding honestly and plagiarism. 

Cheating can have severe consequences such as suspension and expulsion from the class and even the campus. 

In addition, it not only puts you at risk for all these consequences, but also prevents you from learning and acquiring the language or class subject. 

In this case, would be learning the Spanish language, grammar rules, verbs, adjectives, phrases, topics, lessons and much more!

On a completely different topic, AI can also help students in my Spanish class by providing them translating features and answers. However, most of the time it is quite inaccurate, which will be easy to detect when students intent on using AI platforms such as GPT Chat and many more!
